Public Reserves Advsiory Committee

The Public Reserves Advisory Committees primary role is to advise Council on matters relating to the maintenance and upkeep of Council owned public reserves. The advisory committee provides advice on the review of the public reserves, plans of management of public reserves, reports on the relevance of existing plans of management, and recommends amendments to the public reserves plans of management

The committee consists of a maximum of eight voting members, including:

  • The Mayor
  • One Councillor
  • One representative from the Norfolk Island Cattle Association
  • Two representatives from the Tourism Industry
  • One representative from the Norfolk Island National Parks
  • Two community members
The committee meet quarterly on the first Tuesday of the month at 4:00pm.
 
When positions become available on Council advisory committees, an advert calling for expressions of interest is placed in the local newspaper.
