The Argentine Ant does not have a stage in its life cycle when it has wings. This means that it can be contained in known locations. The main way for it to be spread across the island is in green waste or vehicles. For this reason it is important to make sure that green waste is not removed from infested areas and vehicles working in those zones are thoroughly inspected. Please see the map below outlining the infested areas.
