The Emergency Management Norfolk Island (EMNI) organisational aim is to deal with emergency prevention, preparedness, response and recovery arrangements should an emergency or disaster situation impact the community of Norfolk Island. The EMNI Committee has established the relevant legislation, the Norfolk Island Disaster and Emergency Management Plan (NORDISPLAN) as well as subcommittees and supporting sub-plans to support the control and coordination of Norfolk Island’s response and resources. The Organisation is supported by: Emergency Management Australia, the Australian Federal Police, the Bureau of Meteorology and numerous other Australian government agencies.
