The Human Resources (HR) section of Council has responsibility for the implementation of the Council Workforce Plan and for the development and implementation of all other policies affecting staff. The section is involved in areas including advice and recommendations to senior management on staffing matters as well as recruitment and maintenance of personnel records. The HR section also provides updates and advice to managers and employees relating to terms and conditions of employment as well as entitlements, conflict resolution, identifying and arranging for training to meet compliance and skills requirement needs.
The Executive Manager Governance and Human Resources has oversight of the HR section and the day to day operations are handled by the Human Resources Officer.
