NIHRACS Norfolk Island Health and Wellbeing Expo

Strengthening our Community in today’s World

Good health and wellbeing brings many benefits for the whole community. Healthier people tend to be happier, play an active role and contribute to the community through their families, local social and spiritual networks, education facilities and workplaces. Health and wellbeing encompasses both physical and mental health components.

Norfolk Island Health and Residential Aged Care Services (NIHRACS) is planning a community focussed Health and Wellbeing Expo to launch the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) on Norfolk and to raise awareness about health and wellbeing more generally.

It will also serve as means of raising awareness of the diverse range of health and wellbeing options available on Norfolk Island as well as the new programs and initiatives such as My Health Record.

The Free Health and Wellbeing Expo will be held at Rawson Hall on Saturday 14 July from 10am – 2pm.

NIHRACS would like to fill Rawson Hall with lots of people and information about health and wellbeing as well as having lots of fun activities and live music. There’s also hope to have a Community Lunch Market area with a lot of healthy and delicious food options.

If you would like to be a part of this expo as a musician or provider, or for more information, please email healthwellbeingexponi [at] or call Karen Innes-Walker, Health and Wellbeing Coordinator on 22687 or 52592.
