In the Ninth Assembly - Minister for Health and the Environment;
In the Tenth Assembly - Chief Minister and Minister for Intergovernment Affairs;
In the Eleventh Assembly -
Chief Minister - from 28 October 2004 to 2 June 2006;
Speaker - from 1 February 2006 to 27 March 2007

Mr Gardner was elected to the Twelfth Legislative Assembly on 21 March 2007 and appointed Minister for Tourism and Health with effect 28 March 2007.
