Community Grant Programs
The Norfolk Island Regional Council allocates funding each financial year through their budget processes for the Community Grants Program.
The Community Grants Program aligns with the strategic directions of the Community Strategic Plan 2016-2026 and supports Council and the community working in partnership to achieve the identified targets within the community strategic plan.
The current Community Grants Program Guidelines are available at the bottom of this page.
You can access open grant programs here. By clicking on the Open Grant Programs link you can view open programs and proceed to the applications stage.
If you have previously registered as an applicant under the Community Grants Program you will be able to proceed directly to a new application. However if you are a first time applicant you will be required to register as an applicant first and then the link to proceed to the application stage will be emailed to you. If you do not receive your emailed link check your email Spam folder for a message from Smartygrants.
Once you are registered you can commence the online application and at any time save your work, exit and return to resume as many times as you need to until the closing time.
Some Council grant programs require you to provide a budget that identifies the project costs as supporting evidence for your grant application. This is an important part of assessing your application and directly affects the application outcome. An example budget is available here.
Please note the closing time for applications as the portal will not allow applications to be submitted after the published closing times.
The Regional Council welcomes applications for proposals that are aligned with the Program objectives.
