Group Manager Services - Bruce Taylor
Bruce Taylor commenced as the Group Manager of Services on 1 July 2016. The Services area of Council includes both commercial services such as the: airport, electricity, telecommunications and liquor, as well as traditional local government services such as: waste and environment and public works.
Bruce grew up in rural NSW, completing his university education (Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting, Finance and Systems) in Sydney. He has over 20 years experience in the commercial sector in agriculture, construction, mining, wine, tobacco and luxury goods industries in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.
Bruce’s public sector experience includes 5 years in the Finance Department of the Norfolk Island Administration (NIA) and 8 years as Deputy Chief Executive of the NIA.
Group Manager Corporate (Chief Financial Officer) - Phillip Wilson
The Group Manager Corporate (Chief Financial Officer) for Norfolk Island Regional Council, Phillip Wilson, commenced with the Council on 16 October 2017. The Corporate area of Council includes: finance, stores and procurement, customer service, the public library, records, information technology (IT) and the Registry office and its services.
Phillip is a qualified accountant with CPA Australia and Fellow member of Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) with over 25 years experience in public and private sectors in the mining, construction, agriculture, emergency, aviation and media industries, located in rural and regional NSW, Sydney metro and Asia. His public sector experience was gained from working with the NSW State Government in the; State Council for Rural Lands Protection Boards, Department of Primary Industries, Department of Trade and Investment and, Regional Infrastructure and Services.
Phillip’s professional qualifications are; Bachelor of Business from University of New England, Master of Strategy from Sydney University, Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing from International Marketing Institute, Professional Accounting Attainment from Charles Stuart University, CPA Program with Deakin University and Certificate IV Workplace Assessment and Training from TAFE NSW.
Phillip enjoys being an active member of the community with past involvment as Director of Lifeline Central West for 12 years and Treasurer/President Elect of Rotary Club of Orange Calare, Treasurer of Orange Aeroclub and volunteer with the NSW Rural Fire Service.
Executive Manager Organisational Development - Alan Hollway
Alan Hollway commenced with Council on 23 August 2019 as the Executive Manager Organisational Development and Governance.
Alan is responsible for: human resources, learning and development, organisational development, governance, risk management, integrated reporting and planning, workplace health and safety and, employee relations. As part of his role Alan also oversees Radio Norfolk.
Alan has over 20 years senior level human resource management experience both overseas and within Australia. Alan's experience spans both the private sector working withoin large companies and local government.
